Assignment #4

Here I have my remarks on the collaboration assignment.  Personally I thought the idea of showing us students about the editor/reporter relationship was there for us to understand.  The actual project I feel back fired based upon the fact it wasn't very clear.  It was a great simulation to see what each part of the writer had to do while the editor chose if it was a good beat or not.  The outcome was good because it gave me the jist of what i had to cover and how I had to get my beat across to the media.  The only part that was frustrating was that it wasn't very clear on what the role of the editor was to do while us reporters just outlined the story we were given to cover.  I didn't hate anything about it, just would change the role of the reporter to choosing our own topic within our beat. Other than that, I learned a lot with this project.
